MEDEE: innovation project funded by the European Union and the Southern Region

Overall objective: To optimise and predict energy consumption in industrial processes, by creating a connected and efficient energy demand system.

This comprehensive R&D project involves prototyping and testing an innovative technology in real-life conditions before launching it on the market and marketing it.

In a fast-changing global energy landscape, energy efficiency is emerging as the most precious resource, often referred to as the ‘first fuel’. Energy efficiency currently accounts for 40% of the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, while renewable energy sources follow with a 30% contribution.

The aim of the MEDEE project is to develop a tool or solution for managing energy on industrial production sites. This system will make it possible to identify multi-energy consumption, highlight areas for optimising energy performance by analysing energy data correlated with production data, and establish scenarios for predicting consumption. The MEDEE project will incorporate a dual innovation on the hardware and software platforms.

This project is funded by the European Union. Europe is committed to Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur through the European Regional Development Fund.
